Playasia would like to address recent service interruptions affecting PayPal payments and PayPal refund processing experienced by some of our customers in March 2026.
During this period, Playasia’s PayPal account was temporarily placed on hold for approximately four weeks without prior notice. This action was the result of Playasia being incorrectly associated with an allegation of counterfeit product sales raised by Toho Co., Ltd., Japan.
Following a review of the matter, Playasia was fully dismissed from the case, and PayPal has since reinstated our account in full. As of today, PayPal payment services have returned to normal, and all previously pending PayPal refunds have been successfully processed and completed.
We wish to categorically state that Playasia has never engaged in the sale of counterfeit products. For over 24 years, we have maintained strict sourcing standards, working only with legitimate, authorized, and licensed distributors. Product authenticity and compliance have always been core principles of our business operations.
To further strengthen our commitment to our customers, Playasia is continuing to enhance internal monitoring, payment safeguards, and partner coordination to ensure service reliability moving forward.
